I am so excited to share with your teens one of our family’s favorite homemade pasta dishes: Gnocchi!
GNOCCHI: Soft pillow shaped, potato dumplings that are like biting into a cloud of delight! We will be learning how to make a very simple sauce that is traditionally served on stuffed pastas that your teens will be able to make over and over again! Salsa Burro e Salvia.
Our class will not only learn to cook but will also learn new vocabulary that will help them greet others in Italian and basic vocabulary of the ingredients that they will be using to cook with.
We will create and eat together the following:
Gnocchi (contains potatoes, eggs, and white flour) **not gluten free
Salsa burro e salvia (sage and butter sauce)
Insalata-organic romaine lettuce dressed with a Extra Olive Oil, freshly squeezed lemon juice dressing (made from scratch)
Stracciatella–Gelato, one of the most famous flavors of gelato known in Italy (contains eggs, chocolate and dairy)
All Teens will go home with the knowledge and recipes (gnocchi; salsa burro e salvia; stracciatella) to recreate this menu.
